Manor Farm Day Nursery celebrates Good Ofsted rating

Parents who send children to Manor Farm Day Nursery in Sandy can be reassured that their children are getting ‘Good’ quality childcare as stated in the first inspection report by Ofsted.  Opened by Jane Roberts in March this year, there are currently 26 children registered.     Sue Gray and Sarah Allen jointly manage the nursery, which is open from 7.00am until 7.00pm, 51 weeks a year.

The nursery is set in a beautiful Edwardian building, with a number of gardens and generous outdoor space for the children to play in.  There is also new wooden play equipment in the garden and a large plot for the children to grow vegetables, which they then eat at nursery.  Manor Farm has excellent links to the A1 and is close to the Sandy railway station and St Neots.

Manor Farm was inspected in September for the first time and was awarded an overall ‘Good’ for the setting.  The Ofsted Inspector noted in the report ‘The nursery enjoys close working partnerships with parents. Parents spoken to at the time of the inspection, hold the provision in high regard and they appreciate the way in which the staff help children to settle happily and learn to mix and play with other children.’

Jane Roberts, Nursery owner, said “I am so proud and grateful to Sue, Sarah and the team for the positive and encouraging comments that have been made about our nursery, which have clearly been recognised by Ofsted in our first inspection report.   We have worked really hard to make sure each child looks forward to coming to nursery and develops at a pace that is right for them.  I am delighted with how much has been achieved in the past six months since opening.”
